Who attends PBSA conferences?
Attendees include CEOs, compliance officers, managers, general counsel and other employees representing a range of small to large firms. Companies and organizations who offer services and products to the screening profession are in attendance.
How can I communicate the value of the conference to my employer?
To help you generate support for your participation we've crafted a sample "Request to Attend" letter that you can customize to fit your situation. Take a few minutes to review the schedule, sessions, and confirmed exhibitors. Then, customize the sections in the letter highlighted in yellow to reflect your individual costs and how the conference can best serve you and your company. No two companies are quite the same, so feel free to customize the letter as much or as little as needed to best make your case.
Will session handouts and presentations be available prior to the conference?
Most session handouts and presentations will be made available following the close of the conference on the website.
Can I earn PDCs for my FCRA Basic Certificate Renewal by attending conference sessions?
Yes, select sessions qualify for PDCs. Click here to view the full list of qualifying sessions.
If I have to cancel my registration, do you provide refunds?
Written cancellations received on or before August 31 will be subject to a 15% cancellation fee. For cancellations received after August 31, refunds may be granted at the sole discretion of PBSA, if an individual is unable to attend the conference due to a family death, illness, or other extraordinary circumstance. Refunds are not granted for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events or early departure. PBSA is not responsible for weather-related cancellations, airfare, hotel or other costs that are associated with the conference if the registrant is unable to attend.
PBSA reserves the right to cancel any event. In the event PBSA cancels the event, registrants will receive a full refund. PBSA further reserves the right to substitute event content, format, presenters and the like, no refund of any kind will be provided to registrants.
How do I become a speaker or offer a topic for the event?
At this time our session topics and speakers are set. We will open the 2021 Mid-Year Conference Speaker Submission in September 2020. Please look for an email or email info@thepbsa.org for questions.
Do you have anything I can use to help promote that I'm participating in the conference?
We do! We know that participation in the PBSA Conferences is an important opportunity to share your commitment to excellence in the screening profession.
